Arab fighter Siwar Qamişlo in Hesekê: We are defending our city together

ISIS, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), and Turkish-backed militias continue their attacks on Rojava (Western Kurdistan).

In some towns and villages the Kobanê, Hesekê, and Cizre Canton, SDF, YPG/YPJ fighters continue to repel the invasion attacks by ISIS, HTS, and Turkish-backed factions.

An Arab freedom fighter serving on the Hesekê front spoke to ANF. Siwar Qamişlo, who was wounded in the previous war against ISIS and became a veteran, said the following:

“I am a fighter from the Arab component. I am currently in the city of Hesekê, and we are protecting the city against mercenary attacks. My message to the militias attacking North and East Syria is this: All components here—Kurds, Arabs, and Syriacs—are fighting in the same trench and defending our city against these attacks. We risked our lives in the previous wars. Today, in the same spirit, we are ready to sacrifice what is most precious to us to protect the people and the honor of the people.”

Siwar Qamişlo continued: “All fronts are a matter of honor and pride for us. We will defend the region against all attacks. We are ready to fight on all fronts to liberate Syria from the terrorist groups fighting against us today on behalf of the Syrian state.”

Siwar Qamişlo concluded by paying his respects to all the martyrs and wished the wounded fighters a speedy recovery.
