YPG fighter in Hesekê: Our strength is our people and our comrades

SDF, YPJ, and YPG fighters, who have not left the front lines even for a moment  for days, express their determination in the struggle at every opportunity.

Speaking to ANF on one of the fronts of resistance, YPG fighter Azad Hesekê stated: “We are defending the rural villages of Hesekê and protecting our Kurdish, Arab, Syriac, and Assyrian peoples. A major attack and conspiracy has been launched against us. We are defending the villages of Hesekê. These attacks pose a serious danger of massacre. The morale of our people and our YPJ–YPG fighters is high. A spirit of mobilization has developed among our people.”

Azad Hesekê stressed that the people stand beside them in defending human dignity, their cities, and their cultures. The YPG fighter continued: “An immoral war is being waged, marked by rhetoric for the looting of Kurdish homes and property, acts of theft, declaring Kurdish property as ‘halal,’ and fatwas similar to those during the Anfal campaign.  Calling themselves a state ministry, they issue fatwas declaring the property, homes, lives, and blood of Kurds living within the borders of this state as halal and as spoils of war.”

“We expect our people to stand firm, and keep their morale and spirits high. We are not alone. We are together with our people. Our people and our friends in the four parts of Kurdistan and in Europe are with us. We are not weak or inexperienced. Nor are we in a pitiful state that requires others to rush to our aid. It is enough that our people stand with us; we do not need anyone else. We are not weak. Our strength is our people and our comrades.”

“On this basis, we salute the resistance of all our people. We will not leave our martyred comrades unavenged. We wish a speedy recovery to our wounded comrades. Let our people stand tall—victory is with us. Either victory or victory,” the YPG fighter concluded.
