Evin Incir, a member of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) in the European Parliament and a lawmaker from the Swedish Social Democratic Party, condemned the attacks carried out by groups supported by HTS and the Turkish state.
Evin Incir said: “The situation in Rojava and Syria is truly very bad. The European Union must help the Kurds. It was the Kurds who fought against ISIS. If it weren’t for the Kurds, ISIS would still be in Europe. Therefore, be ashamed of what is happening. While Kurds are being massacred, Europeans go to Syria and say ‘we will give you money,’ but they do not say a single word about the Kurds or the situation in Syria. It is shameful. They are responsible.”
