Teachers and students in Sulaymaniyah stand up for Rojava

For days, the people of South Kurdistan, like those in other parts of Kurdistan and in many European cities, have been taking to the streets in support of Rojava.

Support marches are being held in many cities in South Kurdistan, and especially in Sulaymaniyah, demonstrating a historic sense of solidarity.

Like many institutions and organizations, the Rojava Education Directorate in Sulaymaniyah also expressed support for Rojava and promoted a demonstration attended by teachers and students.

After the anthem “Ey Reqîb”, the crowd marched with the slogans “Rojava and Rojhilat, Kurdistan is one homeland,” “The Kurdish people are one,” and “Long live the resistance of Rojava.”

Speakers said that the actions would be transformed into a moral weapon in support of Rojava. They underlined that Kurdish unity strikes fear into all enemies, and that the Kurds can achieve all their goals through unity.

The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Education announced that in the first class of the week, the Resistance of Rojava and support for the Kurdish people’s cause would be addressed. As of this morning, the first lesson in all schools focused on the Kurdish resistance.
