The resistance of YPG–YPJ fighters continues against the attacks on Rojava by the Turkish state, ISIS, and HTS gangs. Fighters on the front lines said that the Turkish state and its gangs are attacking the Rojava Revolution with the aim of committing genocide against the Kurdish people.
YPJ fighters fighting in resistance tunnels against barbaric gangs that cut Kurdish women’s hair, commit rape, and carry out all kinds of atrocities emphasized that they will never give up their land, no matter what.
Stressing that the Kurdish people are supporting the resistance, YPJ fighters described their struggle against the gangs as follows: “Firstly, we send our greetings to our comrades fighting on the front lines and to the people of Kurdistan in all four parts.
As YPJ forces, today we are in our tunnels. As women fighters, no matter what happens, we will not give up our lands, and our people support us. The enemy wants to completely destroy the women’s revolution that we have kept alive with great difficulty and effort for years, and to annihilate women altogether. For this reason, they resort to all kinds of brutality, including cutting women’s hair. They can no longer confine women within four walls; we are now strong, determined, and resistant. I call on all the people of Kurdistan: all of you should join the mobilization launched for Rojava.”
The fighters added: “As YPJ, we are in Kobanê. Kobanê and all of Rojava are under enemy siege. But the enemy should know this: no matter how much they besiege us, they will not defeat the Kurds. Even if a single Kurd remains, they will live on their own land and will never abandon it. They may occupy and seize some places, but we will not give up our land or our country. Today is the day of the Kurds. Every comrade is taking part in the resistance and fighting. Despite all the attacks, the enemy cannot break our will. They spread black propaganda saying they have taken this place or that place, but the situation is not like that.
They should know this: we are currently in Kobanê. We may be under siege, but we will never bow to anyone, especially as women. Our people in all four parts of Kurdistan see the situation in Rojava, so everyone should turn their face toward Rojava and support their people. We are Kurds, and if we do not defend one another, no one will defend us.”
“We deal heavy blows to the enemy”
YPG fighter Tolhildan Qamishlo, who continues to resist despite being wounded by attacks from the Turkish state and HTS–ISIS gangs, emphasized that Kobanê is under heavy attack. Saying that they respond to every attack by the gangs. She added: “We are currently in Qereqozaq. We responded to the gangs’ attack; they were forced to retreat, fleeing and leaving their dead behind. After retreating, they attacked again with heavy weapons and drones, but once again they failed to achieve their goals. Then they attacked with four armored vehicles; we responded with the weapons we had, and again they were forced to withdraw. In their last attack, they tried to get close to us, and we responded by detonating mines. We were wounded and did not have proper medical treatment; we only dressed our wounds. Despite everything, we continue our resistance, and we will keep going.”
YPg Qamishlo added: “Our comrades’ morale is high. It is true that the enemy attacks, but they attack with vehicles; they are not capable of close combat. They only attack with heavy weapons, yet they cannot advance, nor do they have anywhere to escape. Every time they attack us, we inflict heavy blows on them; hundreds of their dead are lying on the ground, and they cannot even retrieve their bodies. Our people are also showing great resistance, and I salute their resistance. Finally, I want to say this: Kurdish young people in all four parts of Kurdistan and abroad, come and join this mobilization. We will succeed; the Kurdish people will succeed. Let our people know that this war is our war of existence and nonexistence. We must prove ourselves in this war. All young people in Bakur, Bashur, Rojhilat, and Rojava must join this mobilization, because, as I said, this is our war of existence and nonexistence.”
