Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) General Commander Mazloum Abdi shared a statement on the platform X regarding the meeting held in Başûrê Kurdistan with US Representative Tom Barrack and CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper.
Abdi stated the following: “We held a constructive and productive meeting in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq with US Representative Tom Barrack and CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper.
The support of the United States and US President Trump for the ceasefire process, as well as Representative Barrack’s efforts to return to dialogue and negotiations between us and the Syrian government, are serious, important, and welcome developments for us.
With all the means at our disposal, we will work seriously to achieve genuine integration and to preserve the current ceasefire.”
