Turkish-backed mercenaries and militias affiliated with ISIS and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) continue their attacks on northern and eastern Syria. As a result of the attacks, IDPs from the occupied Afrin and Shehba regions, who had been living in Raqqa, began migrating to the Cizir Canton.
According to information obtained from the Afrin and Shehba Refugee Council in Qamishlo, the number of displaced persons has reached 3,400 so far. They have been placed in mosques and 71 institutions and schools in Hesekê, Qamishlo, Derik, Girke Lege, Tirbespiye, and Amude.

The Afrin and Shehba Refugee Council in Qamishlo stated that finding accommodation has become difficult due to the increase in the number of IDPs who need urgent assistance.
