YPJ General Command member Nesrîn Abdullah sent a message from the Kobanê resistance fronts to Kurds abroad.
The message said: “Even if you live far from Kurdistan, I send my greetings and respect to our resistant people whose roots and hearts are here. Their minds say: We will live with honor, or life will be forbidden for us. Today, our resistant people live far from their homeland, yet stand strong with the longing to one day return and support this resistance!
As YPJ and YPG, as the people of Kobanê and Rojava, we greet you with the spirit of national unity, national roots, and a Kurdish stance.”
The message added: “We are living through a historic period. In this historic moment, everyone must say ‘I am here.’ We are here for that. We will fight for honor and demonstrate a dignified resistance. With our Kurdish spirit and the spirit of women, you too—wherever you are—should rise with a Kurdish spirit, with longing, faith, hope, resistance, and pride, expressing your honor through your stance, and grow your struggle even further. We promise you: the enemy will not rejoice here. Here, an honorable and dignified people stand ready, committed to this land and to the graves of our martyrs. From the heart of Kobanê to wherever Kurds live, we greet you and expect you to show your stance through support that will move the world.
We will always succeed, we will always exist, we will always be Kurdish. Apart from victory, we will accept nothing but an honorable and proud life. Once again, we greet you and say: Resistance is life. Long live Kurdistan.”
