The Confederation of Democratic Society Organizations and the Democratic Society Movement of North and East Syria declared their commitment to the general mobilization and called for solidarity actions in support of the resistance of the people of Rojava Kurdistan.
The statement said: “Yesterday, the Kurdish people defeated ISIS. Today, they are in a position where they must defend their existence because they are facing a planned campaign targeting their land, their people, and their free will.
We declare a general mobilization and consider participation in this mobilization a moral, humanitarian, and political duty. We also emphasize that all peaceful means of action, such as marches, demonstrations, and public statements, are legitimate and open in order to expose the failures of international policies.”
The statement added: “We call for a peaceful popular movement toward the borders of North and East Syria; for marches and public actions in the centers of European and world capitals; for expressions of condemnation and pressure in front of parliaments and international legal and humanitarian institutions; and for comprehensive, coordinated media initiatives to expose the massacres and the international silence, and to present the truth to the public.
Today’s global silence is not neutrality; it is complicity in this crime and this guilt.”
