Following the call by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the people of Hesekê poured into the streets, demonstrating their readiness to defend their city. The popular movement was not limited to Hesekê. Thousands of residents of cities, towns, and villages in the Cizir and Euphrates cantons organized actions to show their support for the SDF and YPJ forces and express their solidarity with them.
The Rojava-based Hawar News Agency, which has been monitoring the latest situation in the neighborhoods and streets of Hesekê, reported that security prevails in the city. While the people are going about their daily business, SDF and YPJ forces are protecting the people on the front lines.
Public services continue in the city, with bakeries operating regularly to meet the needs of the public and grocery stores remaining open.
In the health sector, medical staff at the Public Hospital continue their work, and pharmacies remain open to meet medical needs.
