The YPJ fighters at al-Aqtan prison, highlighted their commitment to resistance in a video message. Isis fighters are held at al-Aqtan Prison in Raqqa, and YPJ fighters are foiling attempts by armed groups linked to the Damascus Interim Government to storm the jail.
The message from the YPJ fighters is as follows: “We are defending al-Aqtan Prison, where thousands of ISIS fighters are held, against all attacks. These gangs threaten the security of the world. Here, we will continue to protect global security. Despite all the attacks over the past two days, we have not abandoned this place. As YPJ, we know we are a force that belongs to humanity. Therefore, we will continue to protect human dignity here until our last breath.
They keep coming at us with tanks, artillery, and planes. We are not afraid of them. We will continue our resistance. The world must see this resistance. It must listen to our voice. Everyone should know that we will resist to the last drop of our blood to protect the gains of our people.”
