Near the city of Shaddadi in northeastern Syria, militias belonging to the so-called Syrian transitional government looted and vandalized a health station belonging to the Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurd before setting it on fire. The building, located in the village of Erîşa (al-Arisha) a few kilometers north of Shaddadi, was completely destroyed.
According to the ANHA news agency, citing Heyva Sor a Kurd, medical equipment, medicines, emergency supplies, and logistical equipment were stolen or destroyed before the facility was burned down. The center was one of the few places where rural residents in the region could seek medical assistance.

The attack is one of a series of assaults on civilian infrastructure and social institutions in the areas of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES). The aim of these attacks, carried out by militias and supporters of the Syrian transitional government, appears to be to deliberately create instability, sabotage humanitarian work, and destroy the livelihoods of the people.
In a video recorded shortly after the incident and shared on social media, local residents express their outrage at the destruction. Voices from the town speak of an attack “not only on buildings, but on the dignity and survival of the people.” “What they leave behind is destruction—they have stolen and burned,” said one resident. “This has nothing to do with humanity.”
