Mazloum Abdi calls on the people to rally around SDF fighters

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi spoke to ANHA about the latest situation on the ground as Turkish-backed mercenaries affiliated with the Syrian interim government continue their attacks on North-East Syria.

Abdi recalled that systematic attacks that were first directed against Kurdish neighborhoods in Aleppo on January 6 have spread to areas in northern and eastern Syria, including Tabqa, the southern countryside of Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor.

Abdi stated that attacks continued despite all efforts to stop the fighting and calm the situation, noting that efforts to de-escalate the situation were ongoing.

“We inform our people that our efforts for peace and a ceasefire continue with the help of international parties. We call on our people to bravely rally around our fighters and keep their faith strong,” Abdi stated.
