Hundreds of people marched in the Küçükdikili neighborhood of Seyhan district in Adana to protest the attacks by HTS and Turkish-backed militia groups in Aleppo and North-East Syria.
Following the march, Devran Şimşek, a member of the Youth Assembly of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), Serhat Tatlı, Delal Bulut, and three other people whose names were not disclosed were detained by the police.
The six demonstrators detained on charges of “spreading propaganda for an illegal organization” were taken to the Adana Police Headquarters.
On Thursday morning, police conducted raids on homes in many neighborhoods and detained several people, but their number and names could not be ascertained.
In the Akdeniz district of Mersin, two minors, along with citizens named Sedat Baydar and Kemal Delen, were detained late Wednesday night.
