Bodies of dozens of protesters killed in Iran’s attacks held at Tehran Forensic Medicine Institute

Images circulated on digital media networks show the bodies of protesters killed by Iranian regime forces being held at Tehran Forensic Medicine. Families are keeping vigil outside Tehran Forensic Medicine to identify and retrieve the bodies.

The Iranian regime has been disrupting the internet and communication lines across Iran and Eastern Kurdistan for days to prevent the disclosure of those killed in its attacks on protesters. Images circulated online via alternative channels show that the number of those killed is quite high.

According to the Human Rights Organization HRANA, at least 79 protesters, including 7 minors, were killed during 15 days of protests in 574 towns, 180 districts, and 31 cities. Dozens of protesters were injured, and more than 2,638 people, 167 of whom are under the age of 18, were detained.
