Three injured in mercenaries’ attack on Deir Hafer

The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a statement regarding the attacks carried out by mercenary groups affiliated with the Syrian Transitional Government on Deir Hafer and Jurni.

According to the statement, the “al-Amshat” mercenary group, supported by the Turkish state and affiliated with the Transitional Government, shelled the center of Deir Hafer in the evening with heavy weapons and mortars. As a result of the attack, three people, including one child, were injured. The injured were identified as: Melak Rakan al-Jarab (16), Abdullah Mardili (17), and Mohammed Rakan al-Jarab (25).

The statement added that the village of Umm Edes, east of Deir Hafer, was also shelled, but no detailed information was available regarding the damage caused by the attack.

Meanwhile, the SDF said that its forces shot down a drone belonging to the same group in the town of Jurni, east of Tabqa, and that no casualties or material damage were reported.

The statement concluded: “Our forces emphasize that this escalating tension poses a direct threat to the country’s security and regional stability. We will continue to take appropriate measures to protect the population and respond forcefully to any attack targeting residential areas.”
