The Hana Human Rights Organization released new data on Kurdish protesters who have been detained and killed during ongoing demonstrations in Iran and Eastern Kurdistan.
According to the organization, protests in Iran and Eastern Kurdistan have spread to dozens of cities over the past nine days as the Iranian state forces’ approach towards protesters has become increasingly harsh.
Hana reported that at least 15 Kurdish citizens were killed in the attacks carried out by Iranian state forces in the cities of Kermanshah, Ilam, and Hamedan, but only 8 of them have been identified so far. 66 other Kurdish protesters were detained in Eastern Kurdistan.
The organization reported that two Kurdish brothers named Resul Kedîweryan and Reza Kedîweryan, along with a 17-year-old youngster named Reza Qenberî, were killed by Iranian forces in the Caferave neighborhood of Kermanshah, Eastern Kurdistan.
In the Melekshah district of Ilam, five Kurdish protesters named Mehdî Îmamî Pur, Reza Ezîmzade, Farz Axamihemedî, Mihemed Muqedesî, and Letîf Kerîmî were killed in another attack by Iranian state forces.
On the other hand, 10 protesters were detained in various cities in Eastern Kurdistan, 38 in Ilam, and 18 in Kermanshah.
According to reports from the ground, Iranian state forces raided Humeyni Hospital in Ilam and attempted to abduct injured protesters receiving treatment at the hospital.
As the injured citizens are detained before their treatment is completed, those injured during the protests do not go to hospitals.
