SDF commanders in Damascus for talks

A delegation from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is currently in Damascus holding talks with the Syrian transitional government about possible military integration, reported by the Hawar News Agency (ANHA) on Sunday, citing military sources.

The delegation includes SDF Commander-in-Chief, Mazloum Abdi, as well as Sozdar Haci and Sipan Hemo from the SDF General Command. The aim of the talks is to discuss the integration of SDF structures into the military institutions of the transitional government.

According to the SDF Press Center, US Brigadier General Kevin J. Lambert is also attending the meeting on behalf of the international coalition against ISIS.

The talks in Damascus were originally planned for the end of December, but according to the SDF, they had to be postponed due to technical difficulties. The current meeting marks the resumption of the dialogue process, reports say.
