According to Kolbernews, two citizens from the city of Mahabad in Eastern Kurdistan, Mihemed Nîkpe and Mihemed Aştek, were arrested. The report notes that one of those detained was sentenced to 2 months and 15 days in prison on charges of “propaganda against the state” for participating in this year’s Newroz celebrations.
Additionally, in the city of Sanandaj (Sine) in Eastern Kurdistan, three Kurdish environmental activists, Ramîn Salihî, Sebah Salihî, and Sabîr Salihî, were reportedly detained by Iranian intelligence forces for taking part in the Zagros campaign. It was stated that the activists were taken to an unknown location without being served any official warrant or decision.
