The Democratic Institutions Platform will hold a rally on 4 January at 1:00 p.m. in Station Square in Amed, calling for the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan. Participation is also expected from surrounding cities, and the speakers at the rally have been announced.
According to the information obtained, the speakers at the rally will include Veysi Aktaş and Çetin Arkaş, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-chair Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar, Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) co-chair Tuncer Bakırhan, Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA) activist Ayla Akat Ata, and politician Leyla Zana, each of whom will deliver a speech.
The Democratic Institutions Platform stated that through this rally they will once again strongly bring the demand for a democratic solution to the Kurdish question and for peace to the public agenda.
