According to a statement by the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Unit, a series of operations were carried out in different parts of the country in coordination with the security forces of the Kurdistan Region.
The statement said that four ISIS members involved in transportation and logistics activities were captured during an operation in Kirkuk. Two other ISIS members were captured in two separate operations in Mosul and Baghdad.
On the other hand, search and clearance operations targeting ISIS remnants were carried out in Kirkuk province and the Hemrin Mountains in Salahaddin, in cooperation between the Kurdistan Region Security Operations Command and the Sulaymaniyah Commando Forces.
Last week, ISIS militants attacked a village on the border of the province of Salahaddin and killed the former head of the village.
