The First Kurdish Film Days in Heidelberg began through the joint organization of the NÇM-Mannheim (Mesopotamian Cultural Center–Mannheim) Cultural Commission and university students studying in Heidelberg. The event opened on 12 December, at Heidelberg’s Karlstorkino.
The cinema hall was completely full on both the first and second day, screenings and events were followed on screens set up in the cinema cafeteria. A musical performance by Mikail Aslan, Cemil Koçgiri, and their friends drew great interest. People danced halay together in the cafeteria.
Today, the third and last day of the festival, Neighbors by Manu Khalil will be shown.
