The Syrian Transitional Government has expanded checkpoints around Aleppo’s neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsood (Şêxmeqsûd) and Ashrafiyah (Eşrefiyê), particularly opposite the joint points of the Internal Security Forces and the Transitional Government, and has tightened patrols.
At these points, where the entry of fuel and construction materials into the neighborhoods is blocked, it has been reported that residents’ movements are being restricted and that many people have been detained.
