On the night of 26 November, an attack was carried out on the Kormor Gas Field in the Chamchamal district of Sulaymaniyah. The fire that broke out in the targeted LPG section was brought under control on the morning of 27 November. Due to the losses caused by the attack, there has been a serious decline in general electricity supply hours and energy output in the Kurdistan Region.
The Iraqi delegation, which includes Iraq’s Minister of Interior Abdulamir al-Shammari and Iraqi Intelligence Chief Hamid al-Shatri, arrived in Kirkuk to carry out inspections at the Kormor Gas Field.
It was reported that the delegation will be accompanied by the Kurdistan Region’s Minister of Interior and that inspections at the Kormor Gas Field will begin with the visit.
