The Election Observation Commission of the National Network and Organizations Alliance released its first report on the general election process as of 3:00 p.m. The report stated that various violations occurred throughout the election process across Iraq.
One of these violations involved illegal voting. According to the report:
-In 117 cases, voters cast ballots without presenting official identification.
-178 cases of collective voting were recorded.
In many areas, the election security process was disrupted:
-Voting was halted 37 times.
-Voting was officially suspended at 50 ballot boxes.
-There were incidents of voters being illegally directed or expelled from polling centers.
According to the report, the recorded violations were not only caused by voters. Pressure on observers was also part of the violations:
-186 unauthorized individuals were seen at polling stations.
-203 incidents were recorded where observers were removed or expelled from polling centers.
-Representatives of political parties were reported to have interfered in polling stations.
