Encü: Kurds should be in Cologne

A meeting was organized at the Darmstadt Democratic Kurdish Community Center in Darmstadt with the participation of politician Ferhat Encü.

The event drew attention to the people’s interest in the current political situation. It began with a minute of silence in memory of the Martyrs of Kurdistan’s Freedom.

In his speech, Ferhat Encü evaluated the current political process and emphasized that the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan must end.

Encü said: “Today, the way to a democratic solution and peace passes through our people’s organized struggle. Therefore, Kurds should be present in the streets at the march in Cologne on 8 November.”

Call to attend the demonstration in Cologne

At the end of the panel, representatives of the Women’s Council and the Regional Council renewed their call for mass participation in the 8 November march in Cologne. In the statement made on behalf of the councils, they said: “The freedom of Abdullah Öcalan is the freedom of the peoples. On 8 November, we will all be together in the streets of Cologne.”
