Italian historian Franco Cardini expresses solidarity with the peace process in Turkey

Italian historian Franco Cardini sent a message of support for Abdullah Öcalan’s February 27 Call for Peace and Democratic Society and the ongoing peace process in Turkey.

In his message, Franco Cardini stated the following:

“At this critical moment, I want to express clear and unambiguous support for dialogue, democratic participation, and the protection of fundamental rights for everyone in the country. I stand in support of the current peace process to recognize linguistic, cultural, and political rights: it is how trust is rebuilt, how past wounds are addressed, and how a shared future becomes possible.”
