Zenûbiya Women’s Community: A democratic Syria cannot be built without women’s active participation

The Zenûbiya Women’s Community in Tabqa Canton made a press statement in front of their headquarters in the city.

Representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration institutions, the Free Women’s Foundation, the Jineology Research Center, and members of the community participated in the press briefing.

Necah El Hisên, a member of the Zenûbiya Women’s Community in Tabqa Canton, stated: “The voice of women is the voice of peace. A new Syria cannot be built without the active participation of women. We bow with respect before the spirit of Hevrîn Xelef, a martyr of peace who fought for a just and democratic country, and all Syrian women.”

The press statement was organized as part of a campaign launched under the slogan, “Through the unity of women, we will build a free, democratic, and decentralized Syria.” The campaign was initiated on October 12 with a joint statement by Kongra Star and the Zenûbiya Women’s Community.

Shaped according to a three-phase plan, the campaign aims to build a pluralistic, democratic, and decentralized Syria with the active participation of women.
