SDF pays tribute to four martyrs

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center released a statement confirming the names of four fallen fighters. Three of the fighters fell as martyrs in the Tishrin Dam resistance and one died in a traffic accident in Kobanê.

Speaking about one of their fallen fighters, Çiya Hozan, the SDF described her as a symbol of women’s resistance against terror and occupation, stating: “Our comrade struck heavy and painful blows against the enemy. She fought great battles against them. She proved the power of women to create legends. She overcame all social barriers and joined the battlefields, showing everyone that women can lead wars and achieve victories.”

The statement noted that Çiya Hozan successfully completed successive stages of training, and added: “A profound transformation took place in her personality. Through her knowledge, she displayed immense resistance and struggle, turning her fight into the color of perseverance and success.”

Writing about martyr Derwîş Kurdistan, the SDF said: “During a difficult period, he succeeded in developing a great revolutionary mindset and faith. He put these into practice on the field of struggle, gaining valuable experience in resistance.”

The statement continued: “Our comrade Derwîş was an example of a disciplined fighter and commander. He translated theory into practice and reflected his ideological perspective in his actions. He adhered strictly to discipline, received successful training in resistance and work fields, and left behind a legacy filled with faith and revolutionary struggle.”

The SDF also commemorated martyr Kemal Cudî, saying: “Our comrade Kemal Cudî played an important role and showed great resistance during the Kobanê resistance. He represented the resistance of our people and the fighters who battled against ISIS terror. He experienced every dimension of the Kobanê resistance firsthand and carried that struggle into other areas. Comrade Kemal Cudî was martyred in the Tishrin Dam and Qereqozaq Bridge resistance.”

The statement mentioned the resistance of martyr Berxwedan Kobanê, saying: “Although he joined our resistance later, he quickly developed himself and managed to take great strides.
