Three ISIS members captured in Deir ez-Zor

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center issued a statement confirming that its “commando units, affiliated with our forces, conducted two effective operations targeting the terrorist organization ISIS cells.”

The statement added: “Our Commando Forces conducted two precise security operations aimed at dismantling several ISIS terrorist cells.

During the first operation, carried out with the participation of the International Coalition forces, our units targeted an ISIS terrorist cell in the village of Al-Bariha in the Al-Busayrah area, eastern Deir Ezzor countryside. The operation resulted in the arrest of a terrorist proven to be involved in attacks against our forces and civilians in the area. The participating units also seized a quantity of weapons and ammunition from the captured individual.”

The statement said: “The second operation took place in the village of Al-Sabha, also in the Al-Busayrah area, where our forces dismantled another ISIS terrorist cell and arrested two of its members. The detainees were responsible for several terrorist attacks targeting our forces, security personnel, and civilians in the region.

Our forces reaffirm their continued commitment and coordination with the International Coalition to eradicate the terrorist organization from its roots, eliminate its financial and ideological sources, and prevent any terrorist activity that threatens the security and stability of the region.”
