Transitional Government forces completely closed the Tabqa- Salamiyeh road to passengers and vehicles on October 5. Forces positioned at the al-Zakiya junction near the Eseriya region in the Hama countryside are not allowing vehicles from northern and eastern Syria to pass, causing serious hardship for thousands of people, most of whom are patients and students.
According to information provided by bus drivers, the Transitional Government forces yesterday closed alternative routes used by citizens by paying high fees.
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria does not impose any obstacles on vehicles passing through its checkpoints. However, forces at checkpoints affiliated with the Syrian Transitional Government do not allow vehicles to pass, forcing drivers to wait for hours before turning them back.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Transitional Government had closed the road between Deir Hafir and Aleppo before attacking Deir Hafir on September 27, and many civilians were injured during the attacks.
