According to the Kurdish and Iranian Prisoners’ Voice website, Yelda Imamdosti, from the city of Ilam in Eastern Kurdistan, was detained by Iranian forces in Isfahan two months ago. Despite all efforts by her family and relatives, no information has been obtained regarding Yelda Imamdosti’s whereabouts or her health condition.
The report said that Yelda Imamdosti had been detained many times before due to her political activities and anti-regime stance, and that she had been subjected to physical and psychological torture during these processes.
Born in 1975, Yelda Imamdosti comes from the city of Ilam. A mother of two children, İmamdosti is among the well-known athletes of Eastern Kurdistan and Iran. Having achieved numerous rankings in provincial-level sports competitions to date, Yelda Imamdosti is also recognized for her efforts to strengthen women’s presence in sports.
