Guerrillas from the East Kurdistan Women’s Defense Forces (HPJ) said that no matter how much the state tries to attack and attempt to separate them from Abdullah Öcalan, they will never break away from his ideas and will always live with Öcalan.
Guerrillas of the HPJ spoke to ANF on the 27th anniversary of the International Conspiracy. HPJ guerrilla Rojhat Çilçeme stated that the International Conspiracy failed to halt the struggle and said: “The conspiracy was in fact defeated through the struggle of Öcalan and the Kurdish people. For 26 years, Öcalan has been waging a unique struggle on Imrali Island, and we are resisting and fighting along his line.”
The struggle cannot be stopped
Guerrilla Rojhat Çilçeme stated that Abdullah Öcalan has waged a great struggle until today with his love for his people and his homeland and said: “A person who loves their people and Kurdistan will always succeed. Without a doubt, the Kurdish people are filled with love for their land and they will always struggle for it. Nothing can stand in the way of this struggle. We will always continue our struggle for our people and our freedom.”
Isolation has been broken to some extent
Rojhat Çilçeme pointed out that the aggravated isolation has been broken to some extent through the struggle of Öcalan and the Freedom Movement and said: “A short video of him was published, but this is not enough. As long as Öcalan does not leave the Imrali dungeon and attain freedom, both the conspiracy and the isolation will continue. Unless Öcalan is by our side, among his people, and in free conditions, we as the Kurdistan freedom guerrillas will further intensify our struggle for freedom and democracy. The freedom of Öcalan is the freedom of Kurdistan.”
The state cannot stop this power
HPJ guerrilla Zîlan Serdeşt said that although Öcalan is currently held on Imrali Island, his power and philosophy have grown more than ever before and the state has been unable to stop this strength. Zîlan Serdeşt said, “Even if he is alone, it is as if he lives together with thousands of his comrades. He has never been separated from us, not even for a moment,” and continued: “This gives us and our people great strength and morale. We struggled to live with Öcalan. We fought, we organized marches, we carried out hunger strikes, and we engaged in all forms of action. The resistance of Abdullah Öcalan and our people defeated the conspiracy. No matter how much the state tries to leave us without Öcalan and tries to attack us, we will never break away from his spirit and ideas. We will always live with Öcalan. They should know this well. Öcalan has never been defeated until today and he will never be defeated. He sent greetings to the Yazidi people and to other peoples. He has never been separated from the Yazidi identity and he shared their pain. This affected us once again very deeply.”
