A Rojava women’s delegation consisting of Emîne Omer, co-chair of the Women’s Council of Northern and Eastern Syria; Muna El Yusif, spokesperson of the Syrian Women’s Council; Şehrezad El Casim, spokesperson of the Zenûbiya Women’s Community; Jiyan Hisên, member of the Kongra Star Coordination; and Jorjêt Bersûm, Director of the Syriac Women’s Union, is currently in Switzerland for a series of diplomatic meetings.
The delegation met with Syriac women at the Women’s Life House of the Syriac Women’s Union in the town of Unterterzen.
The Syriac women welcomed the Rojava delegation and informed them about the Women’s Life House. On behalf of the delegation, Emîne Omer explained the purpose of their visit to Europe and the meetings they had held.
The representatives of the Syriac Women’s Union said that they see themselves as part of Syria and that they continuously carry out diplomatic work in Europe. The delegation said that the Rojava women’s revolution is an important opportunity for everyone and expressed its wish for the Rojava model to be implemented throughout Syria.
