HTS (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham) groups affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government carried out a massacre of civilians in the village of Um Tina, in the countryside of Dêr Hafir, part of the Tabqa Canton.
According to the statement by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center, the attacks began with drones, followed around 7 p.m. by heavy artillery shelling. The bombardment directly targeted civilian homes.
The SDF announced that 7 civilians were killed, and 4 others wounded in what it described as “barbaric” attacks.
The names of those killed are as follows:
Amina Muhammad al-Azzawi (75 years old)
Fatima Hiyye Ubayd (65 years old)
Amina Muhammad al-Hamza (22 years old)
Aisha Hamza Ubayd (18 years old)
Hamza Ubayd al-Razzak (4 years old)
Abdulgani Rahman al-Ubayd (1 year old)
Rahaf Hussein al-Azzawi (23 years old)
The injured are:
Juma Hammud al-Muhaysin (60 years old)
Maryam Hammud al-Muhaysin (55 years old)
Halime Mahmud al-Muhaysin (65 years old)
Amina Hammud al-Amura (20 years old)
The SDF said: “We strongly condemn this heinous crime, which is part of the ongoing policies of these groups that have targeted civilians for years. Once again, we emphasize that impunity leads to the repetition of such violations.”
