On the evening of Saturday, 20 September, forces affiliated with the interim government in Damascus carried out an attack in the village of Um Tine, in Dêr Hafir, killing 7 civilians.
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria said: “We strongly condemn these barbaric attacks. This assault is a sign of the continuation of a hostile approach against our people.”
The statement continued: “In this period when our country is going through a sensitive process, everyone must engage in efforts free from violence and denial for a secure future. The perpetrators must be brought before justice and punished. We also call on the international community to fulfill its moral and humanitarian responsibilities toward civilians.”
