Speaking during the visit, PUK Executive Committee member Salar Mehmud made the following remarks: “The PYD is a national and Kurdish force. It has had a significant impact in Rojava Kurdistan and played a major role in the success of the Rojava Revolution. This is a historic achievement; women, in particular, have played a decisive role in this process. As the PUK, we stand with Rojava. We have taken the lead in the Kurdistan Region Parliament for the recognition of the Rojava cantons.”
