Iranian security forces have arrested two 16-year-old boys in Oshnavieh, and taken them to an undisclosed location.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported that in the early hours of 17 September, security forces raided the homes of the boys, identified as Diyar Gargol and Alan Tabnak, and arrested them without a warrant.
Their arrests bring to at least eight the number of Kurdish children detained in the past week in Kamyaran, Kurdistan Province, and Oshnavieh.
Since their detention, the children have been denied access to lawyers, family visits, and phone calls.
Despite repeated efforts by their families to obtain information, security and judicial authorities have not provided any details regarding the children’s fate or current condition.
