According to the Hana Human Rights Organization, four female civil activists from Sanandaj, Marziyeh Moradveisi, Simin Chaychi, Susan Razani, and Fatemeh Zandkarimi, were summoned, interrogated, and threatened by the city’s Intelligence Department on September 16, 2025, coinciding with the third anniversary of the death of Jina Mahsa Amini.
At the same time, a number of teachers, civil activists, and families of those killed during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” [Woman, Life, Freedom] movement in various cities across Kurdistan were also summoned and threatened by the Intelligence agencies.
The Hana Human Rights Organization expressed its concern over the ongoing pressure, threats, and summoning of civil and labor activists as well as the families of the victims, on the eve of Jina Amini’s anniversary. Hana stressed that such actions constitute a blatant violation of citizens’ fundamental rights, including the right to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.
