Dangerous ISIS operative captured in Raqqa

As part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts against ISIS sleeper cells, the SDF’s Military Operations Teams TOL executed a tightly planned security operation last Saturday in Raqqa, resulting in the capture of a dangerous ISIS operative.

The operation came after months of thorough surveillance and tracking of terrorist Hassan Jafli, known as Abu Abdo. Once his hideout was confirmed, SDF units swiftly raided his hideout and successfully captured him.

In a statement about the operation, the SDF Press Center said: “The terrorist, Abu Abdo, was directly involved in the production of TNT explosives, which he distributed to ISIS cells for planned attacks on military checkpoints, Internal Security Forces centers, vehicles, and civilian gatherings. He operated from his own warehouse, using it as a base for this criminal scheme designed to spread fear and destabilize the region.”

During the raid, SDF forces seized 180 TNT blocks, detonators, control devices, electronic circuits, as well as mobile devices and significant sums of money.

“We affirm their determination to pursue and dismantle all terrorist networks, strike decisively at their resources and infrastructure, and safeguard the security and stability of our region,” said the SDF statement.
