The lessons are based on adapted teaching materials tailored to the linguistic and cultural characteristics of the respective regions. Curricula have been developed that take into account the natural, social, and historical characteristics of the various population groups.

The education system in North and East Syria is considered one of the few models in the Middle East that systematically focuses on multilingualism and regional autonomy in educational planning.
