The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center issued a statement saying that the Interim Government forces attempted to infiltrate the city of Dêr Hafir, located southeast of the Tabqa canton.
The statement said: “Our forces successfully repelled the infiltration attempts and the artillery attacks launched by unruly groups affiliated with the Damascus government in the Deir Hafer area, completely thwarting these operations.
Our forces affirm that full responsibility for this aggression lies with the side that initiated the escalation through repeated violations that endanger public stability. At the same time, our forces reassure all residents that the situation is fully under control and that they remain in constant readiness to confront any further violation”.
The statement added: “Our forces also underscore their unwavering commitment to their national duty of defending our land and protecting our people, stressing that any further attempts at aggression will be met with a decisive response that safeguards our region’s security and preserves the dignity of its inhabitants.”
