The Internal Security Forces, Women’s Internal Security Forces, and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), with the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the International Coalition, announced the completion of the “Humanitarian and Security Operation” launched in al-Hol Camp.
According to the statement, the purpose of the operation was to neutralize threats posed by ISIS cells inside the camp, ensure the safety of civilians, and protect staff working for humanitarian organizations.
The operation’s results were reported as follows:
“-Terrorist networks operating inside the camp were dismantled.
-11 people affiliated with ISIS were detained.
-Attempts to attack humanitarian organizations were prevented.
-Night operations uncovered hidden shelters and destroyed planned attack points.”
The statement said: “The execution of precise night operations against terrorist hideouts, which resulted in the destruction of dangerous cells planning attacks against our forces, and the limitation of ISIS cells’ movements within and around the camp.
The operation has also contributed to enhancing coordination with humanitarian organizations and ensuring the safe continuation of their missions, in addition to providing a more stable environment for the camp’s residents.”
The statement added: “We emphasize that the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces and our partners in the International Coalition played a vital role in the progress achieved in the ‘Humanity and Security’ operation. We affirm that our battle against terrorism continues, and that protecting civilians and meeting their humanitarian needs remain at the core of our priorities until ISIS’s attempts to regenerate itself and its extremist ideology are completely eradicated.”
