Children’s festival in Raqqa comes to a close

The sixth Children’s Festival in Raqqa was held under the slogan “Our Children Are Peace Doves.” The festival began on 2 September in the Taj Hall, located south of the city, with the participation of 252 children.

On the first day of the festival, children’s groups presented a variety of artistic works, including songs and plays.

The festival was attended by hundreds of children and their families, members of the Raqqa Canton Culture and Art Council, the Hilala Zêrîn Center, representatives of the Canton Executive Council, and members of the Zenubiya Women’s Community Council.

On the second and final day, ten children’s groups presented their works.

At the conclusion of the festival, plaques were presented by the Organizing Committee to the participating groups as well as to the Raqqa Canton Culture Council, the Education Council, the Hilala Zêrîn Movement, the Gerestêrk Children’s School, the Raqqa People’s Municipality, and numerous preschool institutions.
