The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, established in Parliament to resolve the Kurdish issue, is holding its 7th meeting. Former speakers of Parliament are attending the commission meeting on Thursday.
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş said: “I would like to thank all our speakers of parliament, who have closely followed both Turkey’s democratic experience and its fundamental issues throughout their lives and have strived to find solutions, for accepting our commission’s invitation. Ten speakers of parliament will be here with us today, while three others will not be present due to health issues. We will hear speakers of parliament in the first session. We will give them the floor based on seniority, age, experience, and previous term order. I believe it would be very useful if they could share their views with us within 20 minutes. In the afternoon session, we will also benefit from the views of the other five speakers of parliament.”
