Confessions of ISIS members affiliated with Turkey

Two ISIS members were captured by Internal Security Forces in Raqqa before they could carry out attack orders they had received from Turkey. The confessions were published by the Internal Security Forces Press Center.

In footage provided by ANHA, Murhef Kamil Sefok and Beyan Ebdulcewad Sefok describe ISIS’ attack plans in Raqqa, its organizational efforts, and its connections.

The couple played a critical role in three attacks carried out in Raqqa and its surroundings. One of these attacks was directed at the Camîa checkpoint in the Kîsrat region, where three security members were martyred.

Murhef Kamil Sefok confessed that ISIS members were hiding in his home and preparing for attacks in different regions. He also said that they had planned to carry out simultaneous attacks on Newroz night in 2025. However, the Internal Security Forces foiled the plans with an operation carried out two days before the celebrations. During the operation, Sefok, his wife, and numerous mercenaries were arrested, while some were neutralized.

Beyan Ebdulcewad Sefok said that they paid $800 to a smuggling ring to escape from Hol Camp. This ring has recently been dismantled by Internal Security Forces.

Beyan Sefok stated that she married an ISIS member who was a logistics officer in Raqqa in 2015, then moved to Baghouz, where she was captured by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The confessions reveal that Murhef Sefok met with ISIS members at a mosque in Turkey between 2023 and 2024, and that in mid-2024, he returned to Syria from Turkey to carry out tasks assigned to him via the Telegram messaging app. The couple received money in exchange for these tasks.
