Young woman kidnapped in Homs

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a young woman named Kirstinah Ibrahim Hassan from the village of Beyet Merc in the Safita district of Homs was kidnapped by unidentified assailants on the Damascus highway.

The assailants sent the images and videos they shot while the young woman was being tortured to her family and demanded a ransom from the family in exchange for her release. SOHR said that the kidnappers also threatened to sell the young woman’s internal organs if the ransom was not paid.
