PYD calls on KDP to “stop serving the enemy”

In a written statement regarding the mobility of KDP forces in the Medya Defense Areas, the PYD said: “According to the information received, the KDP once again sent its military forces and armoured units to the areas of the freedom guerrillas.”

The statement added: “Since April 2021, there has been a war between the invading Turkish state and the guerrillas in these regions. The fascist Turkish state could not get any results from its attacks, which it has not stopped for a year. KDP forces supported the invading Turkish state in this way by establishing checkpoints in the mountains where the guerrillas were located. In this sensitive process, it increases military mobility in these areas. This is a sign of a war between the guerrillas and KDP-affiliated forces that, like previous wars, will bring great disaster to the Kurdish people. Guerrilla forces consist of four parts of Kurdistan and protect the Kurdish people in four parts of Kurdistan. The guerrillas are responding to the Turkish state’s war in Bashur. A war against the guerrillas will deeply affect both the guerrilla relatives and the entire Kurdish people. Then the KDP will be responsible for this.”

The PYD continued: “This is why we call on the KDP to reconsider its policy. This policy serves the policy of the fascist Erdoğan and Bahçeli alliance to destroy the Kurds and jeopardize Kurdish gains.

We call on all Kurdish forces and our people to stand against the KDP’s policy that serves the enemy. Because this policy will lead to the disintegration of our people.”
