Final farewell to YJA Star guerrilla Karatay

The body of YJA Star guerrilla Siti Karatay (Ezda Avesta), who was martyred in an armed clash in the countryside of Şemdinli district of Hakkari in 2016, was buried in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı on Wednesday morning. Police units blockaded the neighbourhood cemetery and allowed only her family to hold the funeral.

After the funeral, the family accepted condolences.

Siti Karatay’s remains were delivered to her mother, Aynur Karatay, in a box six years after she was killed.
