Internationalists move to Strasbourg

The internationalists’ march from Frankfurt to Strasburg to protest the international conspiracy against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan is on its fifth day.

On the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the conspiracy, internationalists assembled in Saarbrücken, Germany, for a panel discussion.

Internationalists assembled in Lanndwehrpaltz at 11:00 a.m. and marched through the city centre for three hours. Many Kurds took part in and supported the march as well.

After repeated obstructions throughout the first two days of the march, because of the large poster of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, the protestors were blocked by the Saarland state police this time. The use of Abdullah Öcalan’s poster was prohibited by the police.

Internationalists reacted to the prohibition of Abdullah Öcalan posters in the German states of Hessen and Baden-Würtertenberg by saying that such a ban only in some locations is “meaningless.”

Following the march, internationalists will hold a demonstration. They will then take public transportation to Strasbourg, where the main march will take place.
